How Photography can protect your natural World
Lionacleit Beach, Benbecula
Friday 31st July 1pm - 3pm
Hosted by Remote Scotland Expedition Team
Become a scientist today by learning how to contribute real data to global scientific community. To do this we'll teach you how to use iNaturalist, an app that helps people identify the plants and animals around them. It also, through the photos you take, generates valuable biodiversity data that can be used by real scientists and conservationists. We'll then give you the opportunity to utilise your new skills by taking you down to the beach to discover what's growing on the dunes, living in the tide lines and crawling around the rockpools.
You'll need at least 1 smartphone per group with enough storage to download a new app and take photos.
Sufficient mobility required to get onto and walk along a beach.
