Beach Clean-Up for Nature: Ardivacher, South Uist

Please join us for a community clean-up around the beautiful coastal area at Ardivacher in South Uist and help protect its wildlife and natural beauty. Together we'll collect litter and debris, meet like-minded people, enjoy the breath-taking landscapes and make a positive difference for nature.

Meet at: Ardivacher Cemetery
The clean-up may include roadside verges, beaches and shoreline areas. Some terrain may be uneven, boggy or rocky, so sturdy footwear is recommended. General fitness required.
Free. No need to book, just turn up.
What to Bring:

Warm and waterproof clothing

Any personal medication (attendees are responsible for their own needs)

Refuse bags and litter pickers will be provided

The beach consists mainly of sand, but there are also slippery boulders – sturdy, supportive footwear is essential

Join RSPB warden to view our nesting eagles and learn more about the uplands of South Uist. Meet at Loch Druidibeg Reserve Lay-by. Please park in the car park and walk to lay-by approx 5mins from carpark. What3words location is shun.reinstate.best
What to bring: Waterproof clothing, footwear, binoculars, camera (optional).
Suitability: Accessible via main road; wheelchair adjustments available.
