The Outer Hebrides Wildlife Festival 2024 will take place from

Saturday 22nd to Saturday 29th of July. A Fringe Festival will run through to the end of July, broadening the opportunities for people to engage with the islands' special nature and wildlife.

​

The Outer Hebrides Wildlife Festival is an annual community-led festival coordinated by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust as part of Species on the Edge, a multi-partner nature conservation programme funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. 

​

The Festival is an opportunity to celebrate the incredible wildlife of the Outer Hebrides. A diverse programme of events allows residents and visitors alike to enjoy, learn about, connect with, and take action for nature across the islands.

 

Past Festival events have included guided walks, boat trips, water sports such as paddle boarding and snorkelling, nature writing workshops, marine mammal survey training, bumblebee safaris, species ID training, Gaelic workshops, art exhibitions and more! The 2024 programme will be announced in late May, but to get a taste of what you can expect, check out our 2023 programme.
